ANNOUNCEMENTS

Learn about Warrier Expedition

which consists of three different programs – hike, bike and paddle

The program provides for Contemplation: During their expedition, veterans have the opportunity to decompress from their military service and come to terms with their wartime experiences;   Camaraderie: Veterans experience their journey with the camaraderie of other veterans who understand the challenges of transitioning from military service to civilian life; and Interaction with community supporters which facilitates a veteran’s reintegration into society, restores their faith in humanity and builds a network of life-long friendships and relationships.

The Warrior Bike Program traverses the 3,700-mile Great American Rail-Trail that crosses 12 states between Washington, D.C. and Washington State and takes places during the months of May until August.  The route consists of 150+ host trails and is over 55% completed

This year there are six veterans taking part in the Expedition Bike, and one is from Nebraska.  The Expedition riders are expected to arrive in Norfolk NE on July 3rd.  They will take part in the 250-year anniversary Celebration and are expected to remain in Norfolk thru July 4 for the FreedomFest.

If your Post and/or Auxiliary is making a Buddy Poppy Display for Nebraska's Department Convention -- please read the attached information from National as there are some important points that you will need to follow.

Help support your Department thru our 2026-2027 Ways and Means fundraiser.  This year you will be able to purchase a sweatshirt or a T-shirt.  Click here for the order form (which includes a picture of the items).
